Bronze wins PFA Player of the Year
Liverpool Ladies defender Lucy Bronze was tonight named Professional Footballers' Association Players' Player of the Year at the PFA awards at the Grosvenor Hotel in London.
The Reds no.6 was crowned the winner following an outstanding 2013 season were the England international was a regular as Liverpool Ladies won the title for the first time in the club’s history.
There was also further cause for celebration for the reigning WSL champions, as defender Martha Harris was named the Professional Footballers’ Association Players’ Young Player of the Year following her superb form for Lincoln Ladies (now Notts County Ladies) in the previous campaign.
An excellent night for the Reds was topped off when seven current Liverpool Ladies players were selected in the PFA Team of the Year, including captain Gemma Bonner and last year's top WSL goalscorer Natasha Dowie.
