Reds star Weir named in PFA WSL Team of the Year

Liverpool Ladies midfielder Caroline Weir has today been named in the PFA WSL Team of the Year.

Liverpool Ladies midfielder Caroline Weir has today been named in the PFA WSL Team of the Year.

The Scotland international was in inspired form for the Reds last season being names Liverpool Ladies' Player of the Year as well as being voted Scotland's Player of the Year.

PFA members from 100 clubs (from the Premier League, Football League and WSL) cast their votes to decide the teams, with the Premier League and WSL sides as follows:

WSL: Mary Earps (Reading FC Women); Lucy Bronze, Jenny Beattie, Steph Houghton (all Manchester City Women), Jess Carter (Birmingham City Ladies); Karen Carney (Chelsea Ladies), Jill Scott (Manchester City Women), Jordan Nobbs (Arsenal Ladies), Caroline Weir (Liverpool Ladies); Jane Ross (Manchester City Women), Eniola Aluko (Chelsea Ladies).
